The Commerce Association, PG & Research Department of Commerce organised a Special Guest Lecture on ‘IoT in Business’ on 24th December 2024 @ 10.00 am at Allama Iqbal Auditorium. The programme commenced with the Invocation by Mr. M. Mohamed Salim of III B.Com., and Tamizh Thai Vazhthu by Mr. K. Karthick of II M.Com. and his team.
Dr. V. Valeeullah, Associate Professor of Commerce welcomed the gathering and gave brief introduction to IoT in Business. Dr. T. Afsar Basha, Principal & HOD of Commerce delivered Felicitation Address and highlighted the significance of IoT and how they have transformed our day-to-day lives and industries.
Dr. S. Thameemul Ansari, Assistant Professor of Commerce, introduced the guest to the audience. Resource Person, Dr. B. Devamindhan, Professor, Department of Management Studies (IDE), University of Madras, delivered key-note address on the theme and explained in detail the role of IoT in modern businesses, IoT business models and benefits of IoT for businesses.
Dr. V. Mahmudul Hasan, Assistant Professor of Commerce, proposed the formal vote of thanks, Dr. A. Khaleequzzaman, Assistant Professor of Commerce, compered the programme. The programme ended with the National Anthem. More than 400 students belonging to PG & Research Department of Commerce, Department of Commerce (Computer Applications) and Department of Commerce (Finance & Accounts) benefited from this programme.
