In response to the request of the Principal, Future School, Ambur to visit our Herbal Garden and the Department of Biotechnology Laboratory on 20th March 2021, we received 71 students of various grades (Grade 9, 10, 11 &12). They were grouped into four batches and each batch was allowed to visit Herbal Garden and various laboratory and museum of our department. Dr. H. Abdul Jaffar Ali, HoD of Biotechnology welcomed the Students and gave brief Introduction to Biotechnology Programme. Dr. N.P.M. Mohamed Tariq, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology and Co-ordinator of Enviro Club explained the various herbal plants and it’s medicinal value. Fermentation and Microbiology section was handled by Dr. M. A. Farook, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology. Animal Cell Culture laboratory with sophisticated Instruments such as Fluorescence Inverted Microscope and Bio Safely Cabinet was explained by Dr. S.U. Mohammed Riyaz, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology. Research activities and Instruments available in the Research Laboratory were explained to the Students by Dr. N. Shabeer Ahmed. Finally the Students were taken to Museum and the each specimen was explained by Dr. H. Abdul Jaffar Ali. Along with Students, 5 teachers accompanied. All the Students got exposed to the various Instruments of Biotechnologically important in our lab.
