On 30.07.2024 a Workshop on Online Securities Trading was organized by PG & Research Department of Commerce at 11.00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The programme commenced with the recitation of few verses from Holy Quran by Mr. Aamina Mohamed Fuzail Umar of II B.Com. followed by Tamil Thaivalthu.
Dr. V. Valeeullah, Associate Professor of Commerce welcomed the gathering and explained the concept of Online Securities Trading.
Dr. T. Afsar Basha, Principal & HOD of Commerce, delivered Presidential Address and enlightened the students about Online Securities Trading and differentiated it from the traditional securities trading.
Dr. V. Mahmudul Hasan, Assistant Professor of Commerce, introduced the speaker to the audience.
Mr. S.N. Jayabalan, Securities Market Trainer, Central Depository Services Limited, Chennai was the keynote speaker of the Programme. He spoke about the working of the Indian Stock Market, and its regulatory framework and motivated the students to develop best strategies to make trading and investment decisions. The students actively participated in the Programme and clarified their doubts during the question and answer session. The programme was comperied by Dr. A.Khaleequzzaman, Assistant Professor of Commerce and the programme came to an end with the formal vote of thanks proposed by Mr. S .Aslam Basha, Assistant Professor of Commerce.
