The PG & Research Department of History in collaboration with the PG & Research Department of History, C. Abdul Hakeem College, Melvisharam organised Students Exchange Programme on 11th January 2024 based on the MoU signed in 2023 at the Seminar Hall of our College. The inaugural session started at 11.30 a.m.
Felicitation address by the Principal, The programme has three technical sessions. The first technical session was handled by Mr. Nedunkilli Rajaraman, Acquisition and Cataloguing Officer, US Library of Congress, US Embassy, New Delhi on the Scope of History. The second technical session was handled by Prof. D. Abul Fazal, HOD of History on The Relevance of Local History. The third technical session was handled by Mr. R. Mohammed Hasan, Assistant Professor of History, C. Abdul Hakeem College, Melvisharam on Dr. Ambedkar and His Ideas.
The Programme was attended by 30 students (15 students from each College) and staff members of the department. The students Participants of C. Abdul Hakeem College, Melvisharam were accompanied by Mr. R. Mohammed Hasan and Dr. A. Abdul Jameel. After the technical sessions the students were given participation certificates by Mr.Nedunkilli Rajaraman and colleagues of the department.
The Fourth Session was allotted for campus Visit by all our staff members. They visited Herbal garden, Library and Swimming Pool. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Mr. R. MD. Gufran, Asst. Prof.of History.
Dr. N. Abdul Latheef, Librarian explained about the resources available in the campus (both offline and online) in Virtual Library.
