The Post Graduate and Research Department of History, Islamiah College (Autonomous), Vaniyambadi organised a seminar programme for History students on 30th October 2023 to commemorate the centenary celebration of Vaikom Satyagraha. In this seminar organised for History students the Head of the Department Mr. D. Abul Fazal gave a brief introduction on the life and impact of Periyar. Dr. K. Murugan gave a detailed account of the circumstances leading to Vaikom Satyagraha and the consequence of the satyagraha. All the members of the staff and students participated in the programme. The programme finally closed with students speaking on Periyar E. V. Ramaswamy Naicker.
