The Department of History organized Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration on 3rd October 2023 at Hall No.304 to enlighten the students about the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi (the Father of India).The programme started with recitation of Holy Quran. Dr. Aboobucker Sithique, Asst. Prof. of Chemistry participated and gave his inaugural address. Mr. Abul Fazal, HOD of History spoke about Mahatma Gandhi’s Non-Violence as a tool to resolve the problems of the world.
Dr. Mohammad Osman Pasha, Asst. Prof. of History gave his key note address on “Mahatma Gandhi and Indian National Movement”. In his speech he highlighted on Mahatma Gandhi’s three principles of - Sathyam, Non-violence and Satyagraha to attain his goal. Total 80 students participated. After the key note address, the Quiz competition was held on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. The winners were awarded prizes. The programme was compeered and gave formal vote of thanks to participants by M. Siddique Ahmed.
