Department of Biotechnology organized free blood group screening and Blood Pressure check -up camp on 2nd April 2022 at Vijilapuram Village Panchayat Office. Main objective of the camp was to raise mass awareness about health and the importance of regular health check-ups. During these health camps, our team of Staff members and students conducted free blood group screening and Blood Pressure check-up.
The camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr. T. Mohamed Ilyas, Principal, Dr. S. Raja Mohamed Kamil, Vice Principal & IQAC Co-ordinator and Dr. H. Abdul Jaffar Ali, Head, Department of Biotechnology.
This camp was conducted by Dr. M.A. Farook, Assistant Professor and Co-ordinator in the presence of Mr.Govindaraj, Zonal Deputy BDO,Mr. Malarkodi Kumar, Vijilapuram President, Mr. Mohan, Vijilapuram Vice President, Mrs. Sathiyabama, Vijilapuram Panchayat Secretary, Dr. N.P.M. Mohammed Tariq, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology, Dr. A. Gokulakrishnan, YRC Co-ordinator, Dr. A. AmjadHussain, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry and Mr. S. Zakirullah, Assistant Professor of Biotechnology in the premise of Vijilapuram Village Panchayat Office, Vijilapuram.A total of 51 people were screened for Blood Grouping
Tests and Blood pressure check-up. The reports were released simultaneously. This activity was made successful with the unstinted support of YRC Unit of Islamiah College. The Department of Biotechnology received high level of appreciation from the Vijilapuram Panchayat for rendering the social service.
